$9 per hour, 20 hours free ECE for 3–5 year-olds, and help understanding the subsidies your whānau may qualify for.
Our hourly fee is $9 per hour, chargeable by quarter-hour periods. Late pick-ups and early drop-offs may be charged in addition to your booked hours. Please note that we charge for booked times even if your child is absent, as we have fixed staffing and other costs to cover.
For 3, 4 and 5 year-olds we offer the government's 20 hours free ECE (up to 6 hours per day), with an optional fee of $1 per hour for these first 20 hours. Any attendance beyond the 20 hours is charged at our standard $9 per hour rate. This is subject to parents attesting the child's full 20-hour ECE entitlement to Atawhai Kids under the Ministry of Education subsidy.
Good to know
Invoices are sent weekly, normally by email, with payment expected within seven days. Our preferred payment method is direct debit banking. We do not charge for public holidays or for our annual Christmas / New Year closure.
Work and Income support
Many families are also eligible for a Childcare Subsidy through the Ministry of Social Development that helps with the cost of pre-school childcare — more families qualify than you might expect. Please ask us for more information; we're happy to help.
